The project involved conducting a study titled "Labor Market Needs Assessment Study in the Region of Central Macedonia," aimed at systematically identifying and documenting the skill and occupational needs of the regional labor market. This will enable the activation of appropriate education, training, and skills development actions (mainly under the OP Central Macedonia 2014-2020).
By forecasting the needs of organizations and businesses, the goal is to align supply and demand to better utilize the human resources of Central Macedonia in the labor market.
The study focuses on the following:
- Mapping the current state of the labor market in Central Macedonia and identifying key development characteristics.
- Defining quantitative and qualitative data on the workforce in Central Macedonia.
- Identifying skill and occupational needs, highlighting those directly linked to the regional and national economy’s growth.
- Proposing a methodology to activate education, training, and skills development actions in Central Macedonia.
